Protect New Hampshire's lakes

Each summer New Hampshire residents and people across the country come to enjoy our beautiful waters. When our lakes provide us with so much, why on earth are we letting polluting industries dump into the streams that feed them?

To defend our lakes, Environment New Hampshire is asking our members of Congress to support the Clean Water Restoration Act. Will you help by adding your name to our petition today?

Protecting Great Bay Estuary

Pollution from development threatens to degrade Great Bay Estuary. Research we released in February 2008 outlined the steps we can take to keep this important New Hampshire waterway healthy for years to come—it's time to put them into action. Read more.

Dear Member of Congress,

New Hampshire's lakes are only as healthy as the streams that feed them.

But more than half of New Hampshire's streams are now at risk from uncontrolled pollution, the result of two court decisions that gutted 30 years of critical protections.

This puts our lakes, their aquatic wildlife, and the drinking water for thousands of New Hampshire residents at risk.

Please help protect our lakes by ensuring that the Clean Water Restoration Act passes Congress this year.

Sincerely,
