In March the New Hampshire Senate will vote on a bill that will determine the energy future of our state. The Senate can vote to keep the status quo and the dirty energy of the past, or can vote to move New Hampshire toward a new energy future.

Invest in clean energy

Government support has helped put renewable energy on a slightly more level playing field with coal, oil, gas and nuclear power. The federal government must maintain its support for clean energy and follow the lead of the states in passing these proven policies. Read more .

Sign the petition: The Merrimack Station coal-fired power plant is single largest source of greenhouse gases and toxic air pollution in the state. Public Services of New Hampshire is now set to invest ratepayer money into a $500 million makeover for the coal plant, even though the environmental payoff will be minimal. SB152 would halt construction at Merrimack Station and require exploration of the clean energy alternatives to the plant. With the right investment we can create new, green jobs and get on the path toward a clean energy future.
