Stopping global warming

President Obama and the EPA have a plan to cut global warming pollution and repower America with clean, renewable energy. Under new proposed rules, America’s coal-fired power plants and other smokestack industries will have to reduce their global warming pollution. Add your support for the proposal. Send your official comment to the EPA.

Global Warming

We're working to convince state leaders to adopt the Clean Cars Program, one of the best steps New Hampshire could take to cut global warming pollution from cars and trucks. More.

Dear EPA Administrator Jackson:

It’s time to take back control of our energy future. By harnessing the power of the wind and the sun, we can cut global warming pollution and transition to clean energy sources that don’t harm the environment, never run out, and create new, local jobs. But we will only succeed if we require coal-fired power plants—America’s largest single source of global warming pollution—and other big smokestack industries to stop polluting with impunity.

As a first step, please finalize a strong rule to require big smokestack industries to meet modern pollution standards for carbon when new facilities are constructed or existing facilities are significantly modified.
