A new chance to protect our waters - Keene Sentinel (new window)

Protections for the streams that feed our great waterways and the wetlands that clean them are crucial to maintaining our quality of life. Our waterways like the Connecticut are hallmarks of our state. Unfortunately, recent Supreme Court decisions have excluded thousands of streams and millions of acres of wetlands from protection. Our representatives must stand up for our clean water and pass the Clean Water Restoration Act.

In a recent demonstration, workers drove a cement truck full of water and dumped the contents on a new driveway at New London Hospital. Instead of flooding the property, the water rolled down the roadway until it reached a brand new parking lot.
