POLLUTION REPORT: Environment New Hampshire issued a report on river pollution last week that names Wausau Paper as a major polluter of the Connecticut River in 2007. Wausau is gone, having shuttered its mill in early 2008. No matter, said ENH's Jessica O'Hare.

"We want to make sure there is a policy in place to prevent this in the future. We want laws strict enough to make sure these pollutants are not going into our waterways," she said. ENH, among those pushing passage of the Clean Water Restoration Act, meant to shore up weaknesses courts found in the original Clean Water Act.
