Climate Action Taskforce
January marked the kickoff of Gov. John Lynch’s Climate Action Taskforce meetings, which will aim to create a comprehensive state Climate Action Plan by September of this year. Environment New Hampshire is serving on one of the working committees that will help guide the decision of the taskforce toward a final plan.
Through Environment New Hampshire’s participation in the process, we are working to ensure that the final plan sets hard goals and benchmarks for the state to reach, prioritizes energy efficiency and conservation, and prioritizes clean, renewable, home-grown energy such as solar, wind and clean biomass.
Environment New Hampshire hopes to join other New England states in passing legislation and programs to reduce climate-changing greenhouse gas emissions.

Erika Staaf, lead advocate for Environment New Hampshire, will be working with Gov. Lynch on the Climate Action Taskforce.
